Ageing also spelt as aging is the growth and transformation of a human during the passing of time.Aging changes three major parts of the human being, which are, psychologically, physically and socially.
Some parts of the human aging process raise, enlarge or increase parts of the body over time, whileothers parts of the body decline, reduce or decrease over time.
Aging affects reflexes or reaction times, and in general decrease or slow down, where as knowledge and wisdom increase with the aging process of a human being.
Aging also effects socializing abilities, which changes dramatically over time and consist of different behavior patterns and characteristics at different ages brackets during the maturing age of a human being.
Ageing as ambiguous as it may seem, is a process that is consistent with all human beings and does not discriminate and chronologically is calculated.
Differences in aging can be summed up as:
‘universal aging’ which is an aging process all humans share.
‘probabilistic aging’ where changes occur to some human beings and not to others.
‘social aging’ where some people are expected to act differently due to positions of authority.
‘biological aging’ where the noticeable physical appearance, mainly the skin becomes evident of wrinkles.
‘proximal aging’ where a humans recent past in the form of substance abuse is apparent in their appearance.
‘distal aging’ where early childhood events become apparent later on in life.
